[doc] May 2nd Meet **update**

Evenin' all, 

Just a few more details about the forthcoming event near Birmingham:

DATE : Bank Holiday Monday, May 2nd
VENUE : The Birmingham & Midland Museum of Transport
ARRIVAL TIME : 10:30am onwards

The museum is home to over 80 buses and many battery electric vehicles. The majority of their collection has some connection with Birmingham and the Midlands. The DeLorean chassis was built in the West Midlands (Bilston) by GKN, so itâs a very appropriate event for the DOC to support. Itâd be great to have a good turn out, all owners and non-owners very welcome!

The museum is located at Wythall on the A435 Birmingham-to-Evesham road. From the M42, leave at junction 3 and head towards Birmingham on the A435 as far as the large island at Becketts Farm. Turn left and the Museum is signposted from there. The organisers tell me there's lots more information available at www.bammot.org.uk

If we plan to start arriving at 10:30 that should be fine. I haven't seen the place itself but if it's suitable, maybe we could do a Gaydon-style convoy entrance to the event and really steal the show? If I have time to pop over there before Monday I'll check it out, unless of course anyone has visited the museum before?

I checked with the organisers today and they are more than happy for the DOC to bring along some burgers etc. so we can have a BBQ together on the day. If we all bring something to the party Iâm sure thereâll be plenty to go around. Whoâs going to bring the disposable BBQs?!

Can we start having a show of hands on attendance over the next few days so the organisers have an idea of how many cars to expect?
