Hi all,
good news at last (nearly 3 years from when I bought her)... Smokeys all ready for an MOT. the AC condenser is now re fitted, I have working central locking (finished off at the weekend). all the brakes have been apart and cleaned including a new master cylinder. (in total I have spent about 1000 pounds since i got her).all the lights now work and the car has had a pre MOT check over by my uncle and I.
Just got to book up the MOT (which will be at the end of May I should think as I`m away in Zante for 2 weeks, 8th----22nd May)
I also have to insure the car (already had one close call with the smoking dash.....hence the name Smokey!). any pointers as to who does a good deal...
I am 25, clean licence, looking at 3000 miles limit, 7 years no claims on the range rovers insurance with the co op ( I may give them a ring), and only 1 year no claims on another policy. the car will be garaged and be a car show vehicle and weekend car.and I work in the motor trade.
I will be looking to tax the car for 6 months only, the other 6 months she will be tucked up on the garage.
I could afford about 450 pounds on insurance (is this realistic?)
any help would be great.............
Alan and Smokey (vin 569)
P.S............ To Carl Hammond.... saw your 2 pages on the news mag, great story... hopefully Smokey will soon venture further than the garden soon... fingers crossed.
