I had evidence of wire melting from my fuse box down inside the centre console.... when I bought the car my fuses were all over the place and nothing made sense. You could also smell the heat back there and got the whole lot sorted throughout the car at an Auto Electric Specialist in Whittlesey.... although the re-wire did cost around £600 but better than having a fire extinguisher on standby!
