We may be in danger of conflating the man and the car. Many may
have valid critisms of JZD, even in death, and it is perhasp a pity
for his family that he is known, at least in the Uk, for unorthodox
business dealings - if one may put it tactfully.
Critisism of JZD is not critisism of the car we all love, nor should
the two be confused and nor should we feel the need to leap to JZD's
defence because we like his product.
This is not the John Delorean Fan Club, it is a club/forum for
enthusiasts of the car he helped to build.
John is dead. Let him rest in peace. Whether you consider the car
to be his legacy, his obituary or merely a nice car - let's get back
to what the club and this forum is all about - the car, not the
man.
Colm (happy to have a signed JZD photo in my office)
