Chris/all,
No problem, it should be a great trip.
If I recall there was a lot of intrest in the last eurofest
but the high ferry cost and milage to get to the ports put a few
people off.
I think its a little similar for Le Mans, Camping is only £9 PP per
night, (thats not expensive). Entry tickets £53 each for the
whole event. (It's over £100 a ticket for the British Grandprix.)
I would say that the Ferry at around £130 is pricey, when you can
go over for less than £50. But the ferry people are not stupid
they know Le Mans is on and due to demand the price go's up.
The Thursday night hotel is going to be a Ibis or a Formula 1.
(F1 can only be booked a maxamum of 100 days before your stay, so this
will be checked with the group once we are confirmed on a ferry)
Maybe its camping thats putting people off, but everybody camps
at Le Mans. An American team using one of our cars entered late for
the race last year. They found a Hotel... 50km away. I think
they were lucky or had a pile of cash or both!
All the best
Nick H
