OK, hands up how many people nearly fell over when they got a letter from HMCE this morning notifying them that the BTI for their car is invalid? For one horrifying moment I thought they were going to try and back-date the duty!!! Fortunately it was just informational. However they do give the opportunity to appeal the decision, something I fully intend to do. If you haven't had your letter yet, I imagine you will do soon. There is strength in numbers - I would urge everybody to appeal, not necessarily for your own benefit but for those who would like to own a DeLorean and have now been taxed out of the dream.
