It is a mandatory requirement in any prosecution involving speed
cameras, traffic lights, gatso etc. that the police prove by witness
evidence that the device was working properly at the relevant time.
If they forget (and they sometimes do - but rarely) to prepare that
statement, you're off the hook. If they remember to prepare the
statement, then you're sunk. Irrespectve of funny co-incidences.
