Club member Andrew has recently imported two cars, even after all the arrangements were made, he was asked at the last minute, that "due to problems" at the USA end, one car would have to travel in a container, ( at no extra cost) no probs thought Andrew. However when it arrived, the UK, it was transferred to Thames-port and the handling company DEMANDED an extra ?300 odd GBP to remove it from its container, and this had to be paid in cash at their head office ( 60 miles away from the docks) before we could even go to the docks and sort out the customs release. I know, I was driving my Jeep, with huge trailer all around the M25 for hours and hours! All things are "over-come able" but don't kid yourself, lots of little glitches, expenses and problems CAN happen. A few years ago, Marks car was vandalised on every single panel whilst stood at the docks!
