I would only really know the answer by looking at them, but I can tell you that the B28e from a pre D-reg 760 has the same pistons as the DeLorean. I would like to see some pics of the 265 engine

The bits we change for the 170 (might have been a typo saying 179, sorry) conversion are the metering head, CPR and dizzy. There's more to it than just that, but that's the basic difference.
