Two were built at the factory in Belfast, a black interior and a brown one.
A third set of panels were made as "spares", these were also assembled later
into a third car, in the USA I believe.

I understand another car has had them Gold plated in the USA. So I think
that 4 is the current total.

We will have a whole chapter on the Gold cars in our book. We have unearthed
an enormous amount of info on them.

Speaking of Rare cars, another original RHD car has surfaced again ( today)
in Northern Ireland after being stored for over 6 years!.

Wasnt one of the gold De Loreans the last car off the production line. I
thought that was built in Belfast.
