I've been waiting for the day that I can get insured on the Deloran ... and
it's finally arrived!!! I'm 18 and have been driving for about a year now
and I've finally found an insurer who would give me a quote!!

I'm now a named driver on my dad's new policy with them for the Delorean
with an agreed value of £25,000, a mileage limit of 5000 per annum and the
car must be garaged.

Now, remembering that I'm 18... the premium is £345.44 !!!

You might guess that I'm slightly happy...

Righto.. for all those out there that are under 25 and planning to
own a Delorean...

If you are under 25 the car MUST be garaged. How you interpret that
is up to you.
Over 25 you can do whatever you like...

Nick H kindly supplied the details of Classicline insurance (01455
891330) - they are happy to insure me with agreed value etc for £498
fully comp. Not bad I think for a 23 year old... and obviously they
don't need no claims or anything (well, it may not be obvious!).

A relative has let me use their garage space until I can find
something more permenant.

I also tried Adrian Flux and AON.. both don't do under 25's unless
you already have a policy with them.
