I'm sure everyone knew this except me, but just in case there's still
someone who doesn't here goes..
I was under the impression that any car was tax exempt when it reached 25
years old. I was looking forward to 2006 when my D would be free of tax.
Talking to my mate in the pub last night I now find that this benefit was
withdrawn and now only applies to pre-73 vehicles. So without that rolling
25-year window a DeLorean will never be free*!
*Apparently if you are an asylum seeker and drive a DeLorean then you need
pay no tax and someone from the local council will also fill it up with
petrol for you. Sorry for the politics but I'm sick of our benefits being
withdrawn to pay for political correctness.
