Dave decided to have a crack at doing Flopsys lowering springs, but the n/s one wouldnt budge despite your tip about the trolley jack and after the antics with DGS and the screwdriver he didnt fancy battering himself again. So its back together minus caliper and shock absorber - which gives the total 'boulevard look'! Dave found that the CV boot is split and the ball joint is fubar'd too. I think the calipers need rebuilding and it also needs a speedo drive thingy (technical term). He's got a new thermostat for DGS from Webbs today - actually matches up to a Porsche!! With abit of luck that will sort the problem of excreeting coolant from every orifice and bubbling over. So an action packed weekend that acheived naff all really! I've been discovering quite a lot of surface rust on Tinny's chassis, busy with the Hammerite. Martin [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
