Does this mean that he has burnt out the
clutch? Please tell me that by overheating, you mean it just got a little hot
under the collar, but no serious damage has been done ?
Stephen.

Sure he
didn't just overheat the clutch? A slipping belt wouldn't make smoke
"billow", and short of somthing hitting the exhaust and getting a bit
hot, I've no idea. Need more info.

Just had bad news from home. Our maintenance guy went
to move the Delorean back into the garage, only to suddenly see smoke billowing
form the back, accompanied by a distinct burning rubber smell. I wont see it
till 1:30 or so, what on earth could that have been? I'm a bit worried, I know
it's not coolant, could it be a belt slipping? I'll update later. I know it has
nothing to do with overheating, as the car was only running for 2 mins. I can't
wait to get her to Darren for a manifold fix, and general service. She seems to
be sulking after the other Deloreans left her :(
Stephen.
