RE: [doc] Super Car Sunday

No car is perfect,

My last Jag, a 4ltr Supercharged XJR was great on handling and speed, except when you hit ruts in the road when it would try and tare my steering wheel out of my hands!

I have gone back to a more civilised 4ltr. Sovereign long wheel base. Nothing likethe remarkable performance of the XJR but  a nicer ride.

A DeLorean is a fun car, but not necessarily the comfiest and its absolutely useless if there’s 4 of you!

Hmmm... I will say that your first drive in a DeLorean - regardless of terrain - is amazing. But she ain't the right car for long journeys (you could do a lot worse though!).

I'll also say, that like anything, novelty does wear off. I've driven mine to Birmingham, Isle of Wight, and a lot of just general driving (for fun) and I like the twisty stuff best. Being seen is nice.. but I hate sitting in traffic.

You may have heard about the Euro trip... I'm sure that will have it's moments of "PLEASE... no more!" but the gains outweigh the downsides.

you have a point.  i agree that motorway driving can be very boring, but i wish i had the chance to "try it" for mtself, but it seems thatno matter how much over time i do, no matter how hard i work some sort of bill always comes along to take my spare cash off me.

it's one of the many downsides to driving a shitty fiesta

Eh?

Ok.. the DeLorean is a great car - and it's fun to drive - butany car for 4 hours straight isn't fun. I like DRIVING... not sitting at 70mph in a straight line.

Try it.. in a DeLorean...

To me, I'd rather have a meet and a car oriented place - the Brighton run - Brooklands - etc... Alton Towers says nothing to me about cars. I WON'T be going there if it's our meet this year, sorry.

why?!!!!!!!!!!

it's always been my life time dream to drive a DeLOrean for a long period of time.

some people don't know when they're well off.

I drive a J reg Fiesta day-to-day, and I regularly do 3-4 hours at a time, and that gives you bad back ache, so 4 hours in a D would surely be comparitive bliss!

 Dan Willis <danielpwillis@xxxx> wrote:

Ok... to explain myself.

I don't like Alton Towers. I don't like the drive there and I don't want to spend 8+ hours driving in my Delorean in one day.

There.. my point.
