Well I?ve done two Stephen, one cost me a day?s driving and when expenses, petrol etc removed left a profit of about £50.
The other took me from 3pm to 03. 00 and netted about £150?8 weeks later!
I? do more charity events.
Just fixing up my trailer with a cover has cost me well over a grand.
Not much on a money spinner yet! But not why I do it. Its all about publicising the car. The DeLorean Car.
The BTTF car from the ?Cars the Star? museum charges 1,500 per day and it doesn?t even have an engine, ( Andy Snell got that!) I don?t think it goes out much!

Or, you could start up a company named something like "Back to the Future Promotions", and rent the car out for corporate, charity, themed events etc. With a good bit of marketing to the right areas, it could turn into a very nice little earner. Provide the car at say £300 per appearance, or on a £500 a day rate, excluding transport to the event and insurance. I know Chris does this too, but I'm sure there's enough of a market, if you actively send marketing to the right people. Just an idea.

My suggestion would be to remove the BTTF stuff, sell the car as stock and flog the BTTF conversion on ebay.com as three's a huge appetite for that sort of stuff in the US.

Barry has been very luck in winning the BTTF "play dot.com" car. Regarding the "value" EBay will of course find who is interested.
The BTTF work is of a rather "basic" nature, OK for 95% of the populace, but not for we pure DeLorean/ BTTF anoraks!
It could certainly appeal to a promotions type company.
A proper good running, "un-mucked about" DeLorean can be had for about 12K .
For 15K there is an IMMACULATE one on the IOM.
The BTTF stuff was created by a friend of mine, and classic car restorer in the Channel Islands, hence the 3K bill.
There must be many members of our club "green with envy"!

Thanks for the reply Chris. Well had a call this morning from Play.com, company Director Simon Perree and I am definitely the proud owner of a Fully Kitted out BTTF Delorean Car.
In answer to your question, it is fully road worthy - MOT etc, they've been driving it around London for promotion. It has the Full BTTF Conversion on it too - easily removable - restoring it to its original look - but why would a BTTF Fan want to do this?
Based on the above, I was looking for something around the £15k mark - the car cost them £12k and they spent another £3k on extras. I will probably put the car on Ebay.co.uk too to start the bidding and you could do the same on your Website too?

I ( think) I know the car, indeed I supplied a load of spares for it. I know the people who did the BTTF conversion work on it etc.

What price are you thinking off? To answer my own question, if its Mot'd and fully running about £10k should be achievable.
It depends how much of a rush you're in.
The cheaper cars always sell quickly.
We have two for sale in the club asking £12.5K
