The system itself is easier to put on thantaking the original one off. From what I can remember costs are £650 plus 17.5% vat & postage for the non cat system and £980 plus 17.5% vat & postage for the system with 2 cats. Because it comes in four pieces the manifolds bolt on the heads, the silencer in the usual place and you fit the link pipes orcats last. The system fits very well and the manifolds have the facility to use all four studs to bolt it up to the cylinder head and not just two as for the standard system.

 

With reference to what noise you require, I would definitely go for the intermediate system and not the loud system, unless you want to annoy your neighbours and upset the local constabulary. If you did go for the loud system, please also purchase some ear plugs and learn sign language, so that you can speak to your passenger.

Hello Mark, I am seriously considering buying a SS system for my D and would like to know what you think about them and which loudness you'd recomend and why? I was wondering how well they fit, do they bolt right up or do they usualy need tweeking? Also, is the price around $1300?
