Batch of faults

Hi Chris,

Well after talking about getting rid of my Delorean I've changed my
mind and I'm keeping it? It did take me 21 years to get it after all?

Anyway after talking to you a number of faults have appeared after
taking it out for a sunshine ride?

Just got my Delorean back from the garage, runs on all 6 cyls now,
but came back with more faults than when I first started and they've
kerbed one of my newly refurbished wheels!!!
Didn't notice until I got home as they were mucked up, they were
clean when I gave it to them. I'll be struggling to get them to pay?

They sorted the Alternator and a brake calliper, but it still
occasionally pulls to one side when braking, they say it's the
opposite sides weaker calliper but surely they either work or they
don't?

I've come to the conclusion I'll do all the work I can myself!!!

My Drivers window has packed up again and the passenger side now has
a dodgy wiring under the switch connector.

Still wonder about the loss of brake pedal pressure when slowing
down. Loss of vacuum pressure, I've tried starting the vehicle with
the foot planted on the brake pedal and the pedal sinks, release and
I have pressure. So what is it?
Or is it simple an early servo design, is this norm on other "D's"?

A couple of other things, I'm having more trouble lately with cold
starting, is it the thermo switch and when pulling off from cold, the
engine occasionally die's a little before picking up.

Other problem I noticed if I have about 1/4 of a tank of petrol and
go around a roundabout the engine splutters, fill it above this and
it's fine. I assume there's a canister In the tank that holds a small
amount of fuel to stop this happening, do they leak and if it needs
to be replaced I found an updated system in the States, would it be
worth fitting this for $49.

To cap it all after my trip out I parked it up on a slight slant just
outside home, came back to start it and it turned over fine. But
wouldn't cough!

Thought it might be a hot start problem as I'd been driving it for
sometime.
Anyway had some nice neighbours that gave me a push, got it on the
drive, tried to push it up the ramp into the garage and we couldn't
manage it. Suddenly a smell of petrol came at the front, turned the
key and it jumped into life.

Could this be the tank canister again?

And lastly my other half moans about the interior fume smell, I
checked the small cover the last time I had the console out on the
tunnel but wondered if fumes are drawn in through the rear window any
help again would be appreciated.

Well apart from that I still love the car I only have to sit in it to
get that feeling, it's a shame they look better than they drive.
