Hi Allan, Bit of advice for you, if I may: go to any career fairs that are on at your Uni and apply for everything you can. Take a placement anywhere you can (IBM have a big graduate scheme - if your Uni hasn't got anything sorted with them you can apply online at ibm.co.uk). Since graduating in computer science last year I've been unable to get a job in IT and have ended up working in a completely unrelated field. Meanwhile my friends who did sandwich courses have been employed immediately by the companies they worked for during their course, and others have got jobs through applying at fairs - so these avenues seem to work! Just my experience, hope it's helpful!
