Hi Dan Basically Jason, our mechanic, took holiday at precisely the wrong time - in the two weeks leading up to SCS. He left it in the state of running fine but needing the HT leads changing. We replaced them and the car would only fire on crank and not run. We had to drill our the fuel adjustment screw (Rob Grady was amazed it had not been done, given it's a twin turbo), and with that richened to a daft level she finally ran, with 12v across the coil. It was after removing the dizzy cap and finding a misplaced vaccum hose that she ran on the ballast resustors. Only THEN did we discover (thanks to the shrill whistling) that one of the turbo pipes wasn't mounted correctly and we had an enormous vaccum leak. I wrestled it back on and made sure it was secure then twiddled the mixture back down. She pops and bangs a little bit but I think she's still a bit rich - and the bangs are a lot more pronounced with those tin-pot exhausts! Idle acts a little funny but no worse than the BTTF car in Memphis, and we're all agreed that a "good run" will do that engine the power of good. Now its just brakes (hopefully it's just bleeding them!). Handbrake was done some time ago (thanks James!) Roboteering costs me a lot in the holiday department! I *may* be able to scam a couple of un-paid days to make up enough for a week - and believe me I really want to!
