Martin,

I've never thought of these cars as noisy..the exhaust gaskets will be a
factor, as would old hard tyres, but I think you've changed them , haven't
you?
Not a normal problem...mind you, being a "Pillar of the community" , I
wouldn't know how noisy they are at max permissible speed, plus 10 mph!

Martin,

I've had both interiors out of my car(s) and neither had any holes cut
at all... but my cars are/were late 5000 builds,
