Here is a nice little fix if you haven't done it already. If you splice the wires belonging to the front indicator lights with the side marker lights, it is possible to get turn-signals on the side marker lights along with the front indicator lights. When you drive the car, all 4 lights will shine bright orange, then, when you use the turn-signal switch on either side, 2 of the lights on the same side (front indicator and side marker) will blink independently from one another, that is, when the front indicator blinks orange, the side marker will be off, then the side marker will blink and the front indicator be off etc etc. Very cool effect which no other car has - after all, it IS a DeLorean! I think this adds to more traffic safety having the sidemarkers work both as "running lights" and indicator lights. Best thing is that you can do this mod behind the grille using sugarcube connectors instead of scotch-locks, so that you can change everything back to normal when you want to. You will need to stretch some new wire between the side markers and front indicator lights in order to make this work. How do you do it? This is a description when viewing the car from the front...looking towards the grille. RIGHT ORANGE SIDE MARKER has two wires: BLACK (ground) and RED/BLACK LEFT ORANGE SIDE MARKER has two wires: BLACK (ground) and RED/ORANGE The RED/BLACK wire from the RIGHT ORANGE SIDE MARKER is connected to the RED/BLACK on the RIGHT ORANGE INDICATOR LIGHT. Leave the GREEN/RED WIRE as it is, the same with the BLACK WIRE (ground) The RED/ORANGE wire from the LEFT ORANGE SIDE MARKER is connected to the RED/ORANGE wire from the LEFT ORANGE INDICATOR LIGHT. Leave the GREEN/WHITE WIRE as it is, the same with the BLACK WIRE (ground) How do you remove the grille? You simply grab it, and pull hard towards you. It comes off quite easily. Final note - I did this mod last year, and this is how I remember it! Please correct me if anything is wrong. Good luck!
