RE: [doc] Lurking...

Chris R , ( not another one!),

Dave Howarth has service manuals at about £35 ( see website for his phone
number ) There is currently a good running LHD car at about £11, a painted
one for about £8k.......£15 will buy you an excellent car, £17 will buy you
a new one, right out of "Parnham's Motors"!

I won't mention the £15!....damn, I've already done it!

BTW I have recently obtained a stock of "Motor Makers in Ireland",
originally printed in 1982, they paint a better picture of our beloved
DeLorean, than we are used to, The last of my stock sold out quickly at
Eurofest for £20 each. I am able to offer these at £12 inc P and P or £10
collected. There is a photo of AXI 1699 on the front cover, with 6 pages and
good photo's inside.

I have insured yet another of my fleet today, Re-newall quote from "Hall and
Clarke", £515.71,
best price £261, from Life sure Group( 01480 474 604) . The car is a
Mitsubishi Pagero ( import Shogun) , Sharmans couldn't quote as they don't
do imports.....just Joes to show, £254.71 saved!!

As a non-paying lurker (although not for much longer... :-) I would have to
say without this group I wouldn't know anything about deloreans. When I
first used the Internet, way back when, one of the first searches I did was
for Delorean, and in the years past I've kept an eye on things, but this
list has really opened my eyes. Car costs, restoration websites, hours
spend trawling the DMC Houston and PJ Gradys websites, hell I even think I
could keep one running!!

I don't know when I'll actually be able to afford one, but I must say I'm
jealous of my mate who's a Mini fan. Haynes manual £15, second hand car
£650. For me it's a set of service manuals $120, second hand LHD car
£15,000+... :-)

BTW, who is it that's doing the service manuals in the UK? I'd love a set...

Chris
