Apart from the terrific service I received from them, I have no vested interest in telling you this, but get in contact with Transcar (www.transcar.org) - they're the company Rich and I used and they ship from anywhere across america to all over Europe. UNlike Dan's car (which came from NY) ours had to be hauled by road from Lexington, NC to Charlotte, SC to meet the ship. The ship it came on was the Hual Tramper which is basically an enormous ro-ro ferry.

I know Bob Aitchison brought his car in from California and that came via the Panama (this is now James Grant's car).

Tanscar cost us $1275 from Lexington to Southampton, all export charges paid We had to cover the import taxes, but got a BTI raised on each car etc etc.... give me a ring if you want more details (I've been meaning to write it all up for the website actually.... maybe I'll have some time over Crimby)
