Martin,
just out of interest, what did she quote for under 25 Delorean insurance,
on the premise that the car is garaged? My lowest estimate so far is £1200,
which if it really is the lowest, I'll go for, but it does seem high.
Specially since my father could be insured for £180!! I'll give Andy a call
this afternoon, but it would be good to know if he is any cheaper overal,
before I call. So, how much did he quote for yours when you enquired, I'll
work from there. Luckily I do have a garage you see, and a nice warm one
too:) Look forward to your answer,
Stephen.

Hi Darren
First off the club insurer, Sharmans will insure you only if you're over 25. I'm 24 and am currently taking advantage of my Cable and Wireless "no questions asked" soopa-doopa policy, until I get to 25. Unfortunately it
ain't cheap on a car that gets driven once a week!
Secondly, a mate at work passed me onto a broker his mother works for, who DID quote me on insurance, but one of the "must-haves" was the car must be garaged. Tel: 0121 2466067 Andy
Thirdy, there are several members in the club who are under 25. James Grant has pulled a fast one with his father, and he's only 21. e-mail dmc12@xxxx Lastly; importing or buying over here?! It's a tough one. I imported mine, and fell on my feet in a big way. I bought a non-runner with only 2353 miles on it, and completely stock original. Bad sun-damage though which basically means hard cracked seats and a tatty dash plus the fascias need repainting. With a bit of TLC at my garage, it's running lovely now, and so far including all the workshop time, parts, import tax, shipping and the cost of the car, I'm at about £8000. The cost was $7500, shipping was $1250, and the car comes in as "item of historic interest" at 5% vat and no duty.
I hope this helps
