The rules state ( unless they have been recently changed, and I don't think they have) That a car cannot appear to look younger than it actually is.  DeLoreans tend to have W, X or Y suffixes, One lucky member was issued with  a D and went on to buy D12 DMC off the government.....for a song!

Northern Irish numbers are "dateless" so that is why I ended up with AXI 79 on Dusty.

Not Delorean related, but car related....

What are the legalities on private number plates?
I've got D8 SCS, which I've had on a number of modern cars. However, am I right in thinking that this is not allowed to be put on an 82 Delorean. Now the number plate system has been changed, do the old rules about number plates having to be older than thecar, come into play? If so, what is the last number plate you can use on an 82car, which letter, and where?
