Been hard at work all day today at the Diesel Centre - the chassis is immaculate!!! the suspension, steering and engine are all in perfect condition (save a little surface rust on the steel bits). All three filters arrived within 2hrs of ordering them, fuel pump and spark plugs arrive tomorrow. Getting a fuel tank off Dave, and a pump boot and hoses coming from Wingray (yep, the tank was almost full and has been for 4 years, so the bottom of the tank is a real mess). The car hadn't been cranked in that time so the engine was fine. One of the brake hoses (pass side read) was blocked and the identical replacement came from a Rover something... The clutch is the lightest I've ever felt in a DeLorean, and bled through fine. We turned the engine over with no plugs or dizzy and everything spun fine. Few electrical gremlins, but what would you expect! BTW do the door light pop off? how do you change the bulbs? I've got loads of photos but they'll have to wait till I can thumbnail everything for the site Martin Paul Salsbury wrote: > Excellent to see your cars have made it over. They look well from the > photo's. > Hope you have as much fun as me in the restoration work, it's really worth > the effort to bring one of these cars back from the brink........ > > Regards > > Paul > #6463 > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Martin Gutkowski" <webmaster@xxxx> > To: <doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Cc: <richard.johnstone@xxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 9:50 PM > Subject: [doc] Website update > > > > > Just put up photos from today (Rich and I collecting our cars) > > > > Martin > > www.delorean.co.uk > > > > > > > > DOC UK Website: www.delorean.co.uk > > Unsubscribe: doc-uk-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxx > > ** Unless otherwise stated, all messages posted to the group are assumed > public and may be printed in the club magazine ** > > > > Your use of Yahoo!
