A friend of mine had to shop around for insurance on his heavily modified mini. He too found that unlimited mileage plicies were stupid money, while a 4000 mile one was much more sensible. Interestingly, his policy stated that should he go over the 4000 miles, he would simply have to pay a further £400 ontop of his excess in the event of any claim. As the unlimited mileage policy was several thousand more expensive, this suited him down to the ground! Are there any companies in the UK who will insure a Delorean for Unlimited Mileage ?? If Not, then what is the Max Mileage available. I think it was Footman James that I have tried, but they would only insure up to 6,000 miles / Year. Standard Insurance companies (e.g. Direct Line) ask for around £2,700 -- a stupid figure. If anyone does have unlimited mileage (if it's not too rude for me to ask) how much do you pay ? Thanks, Robin.
