Hi Chris, I have fixed my starting problem. The cause was a blown fuse! I had checked the fuse box in my car and all the fuses were ok, however I over looked that fuse 7 the engine control fuse had been transferred to a separate fuse holder at some time. The fuse should be 20 amp, but in my case this was a 30 amp. There was not much left of it. I removed the melted remains of both holder and fuse. The cable that had been used was not suitable for 20 amp load so I replaced the whole lot with a new separate blade fuse holder from Halfords. The engine started first turn of the key. And the fuse does not get warm anymore. Fuse 7 controls (among other things) the fuel pump. Hence the car would turnover but no fuel was being supplied. I also replaced the electric mirror switch. This has now got the mirrors working. The passenger side was a stuck but I soaked it in WD-40 and gentle moved it by hand it soon freed and now works correctly. Regards Nick H
