Hi Chris,
Just had a thought on the hotel front, we use a place in St.Ives 
Cambs,
for work leaving partys etc. its a good place for food/drink.
The Dolphin Hotel, (Tel 01480 466966) its just off the A14. and its in a nice 
location
right on the banks of the river. Its also got a big secure car park.
Not sure on the room prices though.
There is also the St.Ives Motel (www.stives-motel.co.uk) (tel 01480 463857)
can't say anything about this one as I have not been to it but the room rate 
is more
reasonable.
