I would like to Thank Glen and his wife for helping out last tight at
Chester. They help fend off the hoards of semi-drunk young ladies who
offered all sorts of favours if only they were allowed to "sit in" my
BTTF car. I'm afraid I had to resist there kind offers!
But it was really a very good night, I'm sure there will be lots of
good local publicity, as well as a few new club members.
For those of you who don't know, Glen may be a bit lacking in the
"typing" department, but he is a real wizard with car electrics/
electronics. One of his "all bells and whistles" trackers, in on trial
with Phil Peter's car. He and his wife are also very nice friendly folk
and made my evening in Chester's "club land" much more tolerable!
Backy's mileage has gone 25% after last night. Mind you if it had not
been for a frantic phone call to Nick Tomlinson in the afternoon, I
would not have been able to go at all! Just after I filled Backy up (
at 14.00hrs) I pulled off the forecourt, and 500 yards later , cut out
completely ( just like it did a year ago when Dave and I went for a
quick ride) , right on the traffic island. (I put it in 1st gear then
"wound it" on the starter motor, to get it out of the way)
As the AA van was parked nearby, we soon had its innards exposed, but
the DeLorean foxed the two AA men. They suspected a faulty fuel pump,
but an hour later, and following Nicks telephonic guidance, I was led to
remove the air cleaner and found the metering head "flap" jammed up, at
the top of its travel, further investigations revealed it is fitted
slightly offset. Within 10 mins I was on my way again.
Thanks again to all involved and see some of you at "Hullywood" on
Sunday, where I will be flogging Models and wall charts.

hi all just to let you know that i went up to chester tonight with
chris p & this d to a new 80's night launch it was very good i never
seen so many mobilee phones come out of the hangbags,jeans
pockets,press people there mylife so i thought that i better make
the best of it so got the old cloth out & give her a polish up for
chris while he was in out the the crowd ansering questions about his
d all i could here when meeting up with chris at jun 16 of the m6
was a big raaaw coing from the back of that very nice twin silver
eqhust system thanks for letting me come up for the night chris
