Hmmm, the most work i've ever done to a car is change a wheel, i think
playing around with resistors and things sounds ever so slightly above my
abilities. I'll have to make do with boring bulbs for the time being.

in this case. You can measure the resistance of the bulb using a meter and

This load circuit is required for the alternator warning lamp for the
excitation
of the charging circuit in the alternator and as such should have the correct
bulb or use a load resistor in parallel.
