I certainly wouldn't dismiss the idea Martin. The only "snaggy bit" is
the Lotus Element, where all the costings and timing have to be worked
out well in advance. I'm already budgeting on between 50 and 100 people.
Well for a start, the tours last an hour and they only normally take
about 12 at a time. We want to ensure that club members and DeLorean
fans from other parts of the world get good access ( at Lotus) I can't
see any problems with the rest of the events where we will be "site
seeing / cruising / having talks etc.
 
As you appreciate, its only when we get a good itinerary pencilled in,
then get numbers for each event, that the final shape of the thing
starts to emerge. Folk are notorious for leaving "COMMITTING" until the
last minute which makes everything more difficult to organise. But we'll
manage!

What are your thoughts of inviting non-DeLorean-but-fast-car-owning 
friends along - perhaps given a donation to the club on top of the fee?

Remember Dan Shane is a Lotus creature at heart too :-)
