Youe serious, they changed the Law to let us use US licence plates. Is it still ok to keep US plates on your car?

Hi Colm,
I was pulled over by the police in Wolverhampton earlier this year (they just wanted to have a nosey at the car) and they didn't seem in the least bit bothered at my American style plates. Maybe I've just got an innocent looking face!
I seem to remember the current Labour gov.t (bless 'em) changed the law a few years back to allow US style plates in the UK.
