Great guide, well done for documenting everything, and even more well done for completing it and being road legal!

I have to ask though (and I'm sure others on the list can humour me if its been asked a million times), but is there a reason why you couldnt keep the HVY MTL registration plate? I see lots of cars over here that have foreign plates all the time (the same cars, not just over here on day trips - we have a german bmw [yes i know they are all technically german] in our road thats been there since forever). Maybe they are all illegal! :)

For all those who are hoping to purchase a US DeLorean soon...
I have finally completed my full website guide to Buying, Importing, 
MOT and UK Registration.  It includes help with every aspect and that 
dreaded form filling, plus a detailed run down of the typical costs 
you should expect to incur (I hope, in plain English).
Typically - If you spend 8000 GBP on a US DeLorean then look to spend 
an extra 3500 GBP at least to get it over here and UK 
Legal/Registered.
I didn't have a clue then I imported mine, so thanks to everyone who 
advised me at the time, it was worth it in the end.  I hope this 
guide will help others.
