I myself have the ipod mp3 player with the fm transmitter.
It has the advantage of NO WIRES or any attachments that run to the radio in
any way. I have it mounted to the windscreen using a mobile phone holder
and it hangs there within easy reach.
The sound quality is supurb and is well worth buying if you dont want to
change your radio and want ALL your music with you.

Chris.
I am glad you like it.
Quick description of the portable CD player. I searched for sometime
to find a way of playing CDs through the existing head unit *without*
modification to the car.
The CD player (CDs only, no radio, no MP3) is a normal personal CD
player sized unit.
Powered by 2 'AA' it has a built in radio transmitter (sending on a
range of odd-frequencies only to match the DeLorean radios).
The kit includes standard 'full' headphones (not in-ear minis)
The kit includes cigar lighter adapter, if used it will even recharge
rechargable batteries (with selector switch).
Range on the move is more than adequate to place the unit either in
the glovebox or storage lock-box are behind the seats. When parked,
the added bonus would be that several cars could tune in and allow
simultaneous broadcast of tunes (or commentary for shows?).
Downsides, no modern style 'remote' (I use mine on program play,
looped) and no backlight.
Interested owners can e-mail me offlist, however I suspect that all
of the techy dudes/dudettes out on this list probably already have
funky/modern headunits!
