[doc] 1274 Lowered!

Well, it's a job I've been putting off, but I finally got around to
fitting Chrispy's lowered front springs. I figured it was only really a
cosmetic thing so it came pretty low on the list -  how wrong I was.

The car now really is a breeze to drive, all those problems of blind
turns, staring at the sky when driving up steep hills, headlights in the
face...have all gone. The handling is much improved too, I can throw it
round corners and know where I'm going to end up.

If you haven't fitted a set of Chrispy's springs yet and you're still
running on old high up ones you'll be stunned at the difference they
make. Oh yeh, and the car looks loads better too.

If you intend doing it yourself, it's an absolute arse of a job.
Technically very easy, but a lot of physical effort heaving, tugging,
shoving and levering. Took me a day and a half 'cause the upper pivot
bolt was stuck on one side. Lots (and lots) of swearing and grazed
knuckles. Anybody who wants to save 20quid and borrow my spring
compressors is more than welcome.
