It's worth taking it apart, cleaning everything and reassembling it all.
I have had this problem in the past. I wouldn't use any sealant or
plumbers tape as the fuel will disintegrate it. Trust me I know!!

Thats the problem the return line connection has a very very slight
kink at the connection point.. i could try bending it back but
wondered if there was a putty or compund i could use to seal the
thread / olive ....a bit like on plumbing fittings??
