Ooooooh don't get me started, grrr
Here's something to be more than a little concerned about while we're
slightly OT.
Norwich union are trialling a new little black box installed in your car
which transmits via the mobile phone network you're current location
while you're driving.
The idea is that it will 'save' you money on your insurance because
they'll be able to see if you drive in high/low risk areas and roads.
More realistically it will give them the opportunity to _increase_ your
premium.
Unfortunately it'll also be able to tell them what speed you travel at.
Giving them the opportunity to void your insurance at will.
The box should become cheap enough that all insurance companies will
soon be able to insist one is fitted to every vehicle. No doubt the
government will then cotton on to using it for tax and road tolls. Big
Brother here we come.
- Claire, I hope your tax doesn't run out before Kent Modified though!?
Tell Martin/Dave I hope to go (depending on my D of course) if they
don't already know......
