Mike,
    From purely an engineering veiw (basically because, depsite me 
loving them, my knowledge of deloreans is limited, let alone what i 
know of their door mirrors) The ideal finish would be a semi-gloss, I 
find high gloss looks cheap and tacky, and would have thought the 
ideal would be a two-pack hi-build paint.

    If you dont want to go down the path of mixing your own paint and 
activator though, you can get a semi-gloss (satin) spray paint that 
would do the job almost as well.
