Mike,
I?m sure about Freelanders, but on most cars you can simply fir a ?drop
plate? the other way up and gain a few extra inches.
Martin once used my trailer on his Citron Zantia and went all the way to
Germany and back! So I don?t think the vehicle / trailer weight should be
an issues.
Regarding your choice of shipper. I had another club member telling a horror
story about difficult communications and indifference from his shipper ( not
Transcar unfortunately), recommended to him by the dealer he bought the car
off. That one too, is still in transit.

Hiya all :)
If any one is thinking of using another shipper instead of
Transcar ...well dont !...Apart from being almost the cheapest out
of 4 quotes ( only $50 in it )its very true what has been said about
them being quick, friendly and proffesional people, infact they have
made the experience of shipping a car from mid state US to the port
of Balltimore all but a breeze and turned round a pick up from order
and delivery to the port in only 4 days (and some 700 miles!)
Regular, almost daily emails and telling me its collection and
progress. Car is now due in Southampton on 13 June, setting sail
this Sat ( So only a month in total from purchase to delivery )
Now with the kind offer of a car trailer ( Even though it is a
runner id rather get it checked over and serviced / repaired
first ), i just need to find a car big enough to tow it to DMC UK
Stevenage and then on to Hull,
Question please.......does any one know of anyone who hires out say
a discovery with a tow bar ????? My own car is a freelander but
the tow ball is apparently not going to be high enough off the
ground for the particular trailer im going to use )
Any Help as ever is really appreciated as ever :)
