Hi Thomas,
Good idea, get the "6Tele" (do they still shout that in Belfast?), Irish
News, etc involved.
I wrote to the Belfast Mayor and Planning Dept saying that the track was
part of our "Industrial Heritage" and even had future Tourist curiosity
value, but I may as well have "p***ed in the wind". Got a letter back saying
the whole of Belfast was being reviewed in a Urban Design Plan and this
would also be considered. Typical beaurocracy!
It is a shame, we had a great time (well everyone except one fella) on the
track when Robert Lamrock organised the Eurofest visit in 2001.
Cheers, IAN

I think that it is a disgrace that they should be allowed to do that. It is
an important piece of our history, and we cannot allow it to be taken away
so easily. I would like to write into the papers and see what the response
is from former employees and the public on a whole.
