If it were John, I'd fill the spare with that Sealing Junk that I use on my
ride on lawn mower. Its filthy rubbery stuff, but it will self seal on these
notoriously leaky spare wheels. Indeed I always carry a tin of Tyre inflate
stuff in case of emergency's as well.
BTW, I think your getting a bit paranoid about your old tyres, yes they are
20 years old, but on my vintage cars they were frequently much older. If
they start to look perished, I replace them.
Most of the cars I have had, still had original tyres on them. Sure Mr.
Goodyear is going to tell you to fit new one's...what do you think he would
say? Its just a pity replacements are not more plentiful. Having said all
that, I treated Delores to set of F1's....yes the rears are 10 mill smaller,
but it doesn't bother me.
