Well I am also going through the process of getting quotes for my car and
have been having great difficulty persuading people to quote me, due to my
twin turbo installation that frightens them all off.  This morning only 2
people had agreed to quote me, both for >£600.  Things are now a bit better,

So far 7 companies have agreed to quote me.

Adrian Flux £630 (£300 excess, £40 extra for Breakdown)
Diamond £624.61 (This is a Chaucer policy, previously I was insured with
them on an Axa policy, no longer available at £335 including breakdown)
Asset Trust £469.31 (£300 excess, Link Policy)
Insurance Line (Classic Car Direct) £435
Stonelynk £402.12 (Norwich Union Policy)
Classicline £302.50 (£250 excess KGM Policy)
Aon £287.85 (Royal + Sun Alliance Policy, £100 excess, £50 extra for full
RAC) (Original quote £316.20, then I told them about the Classicline quote)

These companies no longer insure Deloreans
Peter Best
Peter Taylor/Bishop Calway (Pity as they have previously been giving club
members good quotes)

These ones don't like modifications
Alexander Forbes
Carole Nash
Performance Direct
RAC/ Clark + Hall
Sureterm
Sharman's
Gott & Wynne
Grandstand 2000
Lancaster

I'm still waiting replies from
Norton Insurance (Heritage)
Firebond
Portwood
Capital Insurance
Footman James

Quotes based on just me (age 27) to drive, 3000 miles, kept in a council
rented garage, good claims history.

I have requested full policy details for the KGM and Royal Sun Alliance
policies so I can fully compare them.

If anyone has any suggestions for further companies worth talking to I'll
give them a go, but I doubt I'm going to improve much if at all on the Aon
quote.

Cheers
Rich

All.

'Boeing' had its first birthday on Monday! (in my care anyway).

My previous insurer, Lancaster quoted £494. After a few 'amendments'
to my file I was offered it for £390.

Lots of quotes later I settled on Aon, for £282.

Full details will be included on all the alternate quotes in my
article for the magazine.

Thanks to all the member who provided me with details of their
insurers.
