How about a celebration of the first UK Motorway, being built in 1959 (M1 of course). We could line up the cars down the central reservation and the hard shoulder. Visitor figures would be pretty huge if we plumped for a Monday morning!

It has about as much appeal as driving all the way to Leeds, to park on the top floor of a car park. I was parked there last week, the view of Leeds is great if you like grey uninspiring vistas :)
