Hi John,
You can buy replacement tyre valves and the tool to screw them in from halfords. Shouldn't cost more than £5 for them and the tool. Don't forget to prop the car up on a jack/ axle stand as you dont want to squash the sidewall.
If the tyre still deflates then have it re-sealed on the rim as sometimes the alloy corrodes slightly. I had to have my spare and rear tyres re-sealed around the rim. Any tyre fitter will do this for free, just pay for a balance. While the tyre is off have a good check for splits/ UV cracks/ puncture nails etc.
I can't remember off the top of my head but I think the fronts should be 23-24psi, rears 30psi and spare 60psi on cold tyres.
Hope this helps.
Nick.

All.
All.
Following my trip to Derby, and my low tyre pressures measured at
that time I purchased a new digital gauge. Whilst checking the
pressure today the valve on my left rear failed.
The valve doesn't close even once the gauge has been removed. I had
to call out the breakdown chap to help remove one of the lug nuts
(replacements on order with DMUK) because the removal socket didn't
seem to clamp correctly.
There was no air in the spare but that was easily solved, perhaps
something I should check more regularly!
The car really does look odd with the space saver spare on. Time for
another think on replacement tires...
