Hmmm, sounds messy, but the old D is a strong car...... I'd take a
good look underneath - especially the cooling system, steering and
suspension - and also have a good look under the hood at the state of
the body tub.
Personally I'd go along and have a very close look over the car -
maybe another DeLorean Owner in the area could accompany you (second
opinion and all that?) and get an idea of exactly what it needs and
find out how much the owner realistically wants for it. You might be
lucky and find out he wants very little for it, then again he could
think its worth a fortune and be asking way too much. Then post
details to the list before committing to buying it. Also take plenty
of photos if you can, as you can then refer back to them and if need
be email them to somebody to get their opinion on the viability of
restoring the car.
Anyway, good luck with it, and my last piece of advice is look at the
car in a 'business like way', not with rose tinted spectacles.

does that suggest bad things? And he thinks it was going around a
corner when it hit something, he really was not clear, but I'll
definately get it sorted out. Cant let this go to waste!
