Exactly.

And although most people on here seem to be preoccupied with the stereotypical image of the "BMW Driver", the simple fact remains that when other manufacturer's cars have come to the end of their operating life, most BMWs will still be going.

However much people might like tp try and comvince themselves that BMWs aren't good cars, the fact is that they are.

For example, which company built the engine that was used in the McLaren F1 to get it to a record 245 mph. . . . . . . that's right, BMW!

  Hi Mike

I agree,A friend of mine is a BMW specialist

He has a 5 series on 267,000 still drives perfect.

Most Vauxhalls/Ford/Renault would have fallen by the wayside then.

for a couple of months this year in a mucky white BX turbo diesel bought
off ebay for £100. Okay, it had electric windows, sunroof, see-through
glass and funky suspension but it went like stink and all it needed was
an exhaust... 13,000 miles later and Verity's got it now for when she
passes her test.
Now back in my Xantia which I love and intend on keeping till it falls
apart because it's the last of the proper hydropneumatic Cits
