I was recently quoted £110 for a total of four new brake pipes for the other half's Micra. Then tried the car spares shop - they make them up for 75p/foot plus 25p each for the end fittings. Then you have to bend 'em to shape, screw the ends in, bleed beakes and check for drips. Still needed a total of about 20 feet though, plus six end fittings, (£17.40) total and £4 for a new bottle of brake fluid. Plus, the new pipes are copper, so shouldn't rust again... You probably didn't pay over the odds, in all honesty. >From: John Tien <johntien99@xxxxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: RE: [doc] OT - MOT for small hatch backs... >Date: Mon, 3 Oct 2005 21:02:10 +0100 (BST) > >Thanks all of you guys for the suggestions :) > >I did the MOT today and they told me one of the brake >pipe is rusted and need replacement.
