RE: [doc] Mode switch

The first setting operates a heater valve in the engine bay, which cuts
off the coolant to the heater matrix, to help the A/C cool the cab
faster.

If this valve is broken, or the tube has come off, that will cause the
mode switch to hiss.

The thin black plastic pipe runs from the front (remember 'front' is
closest the rear window) of the left pod in the engine bay past the
dizzy, to a valve just infront of the right hand rocker cover. Check the
pipe fitting hasn't broken off.

If you *carefully* remove the pipe, and block it up. The hiss should
stop, if not, you have a leak elsewhere.

The valve is not essential, the A/C still works just as well.....
